Another busy year ahead for Repertory!

Repertory is thrilled to announce that our most recent production, ‘Are You Being Served?’, broke all box office records and was the most successful production we’ve had for many years, with most of the performances sold out in advance – well done to Glenn Cameron and his team! For those of you who missed it, it was a terrific show, but fear not – Glenn has promised to return at some point in the very near future with an equally entertaining production.

Our AGM was held recently and we welcome a new committee into the fold. Once again, Max Restieaux is taking the reins as president with Kerry Mountstephen taking over the role as vice president. The committee remains much the same, but special mention must be made to Dee Brough who has decided to step down this year. Dee has been a stalwart supporter of Rep over the years, both serving on the committee and onstage – last seen as a fabulous ‘Mrs Slocombe’ in our production of ‘Are You Being Served?’, so many thanks to Dee for her dedicated support both onstage and off.

We have yet to announce our next full production (watch this space!), although in the meantime you might want to come along and enjoy Kate Spencer’s hilarious production of ‘Ward 7’ which is currently touring the lower North Island. Written by, and starring Kate Spencer, along with three other actors, this home-grown comedy promises to provide a fabulous night’s entertainment. Set around the comings and goings of a hospital ward, this latest show features a brilliant selection of characters and stories guaranteed to raise a laugh. For those of you who enjoyed Kate’s last production ‘Blokes What I Have Known’, this is a must see! Playing May 11th and 12th, tickets are currently available at the Royal Wanganui Opera House.
