It’s all happening at Repertory!

Another busy weekend at Repertory with set construction well underway for Habeas Corpus and a start has also been made on the lighting design. A big thanks to Repertory stalwart Murray Ware who has once again come on board to cast his expert eye over the lighting and sound. The lighting will prove to be quite a challenge on this production with quite a few cues (involving footlights, specials, and even a mirror ball!), but Murray always delivers and this production will be no exception.

Congratulations to Kerry Girdwood who had a fantastic turnout for her auditions on Sunday for The Stars Go Down which is Repertory’s next project, running as a workshop over the Whanganui Literary Festival in September. Kerry was able to cast the play (except for one role) and was particularly pleased with the great turnout of male actors. The remaining role is for a forty-something female, so if you missed the auditions and would like to be considered for this part contact Kerry on 06 345 0005.

A big thanks to our resident wardrobe mistress Kerry Mountstephen who has also recently undertaken the role of organising a revamped website for Repertory. The URL is up and running – check it out at www.wanganuirepertorytheatre.co.nz – and keep checking back regularly to find out all the exciting upcoming productions and other events at Repertory Theatre.

Tickets are now on sale for Habeas Corpus and can be purchased from the Royal Wanganui Opera House. The production plays from 29th July to 6th August.
